Mead tasting
Sit down by the fire in the longhouse, enjoy a delicious cup of mead, and listen to stories from the world of the Vikings.
In winter, the Vikings sat around the fire with filled drinking horns, while wandering skalds told myths and stories of heroic deeds. We continue the tradition when we serve you legends and mead in our unique longhouse.
Practical information
Participants: max. 60 people
Duration: approx. 30 min.
Meeting place: Museum entrance at Trelleborg. The mead tasting takes place in the longhouse.
Price: DKK 50 per person

A drink for the gods
You can look forward to hearing the story from Norse mythology about how mead came to Asgard. Meanwhile, you can taste the golden drops, and there is plenty to choose from, because mead is a drink of the gods, both in ancient legends and myths—and today.

The Vikings liked to discuss politics a (large) cup of mead. We cannot recommend this, but you can combine mead tasting with a guided tour or one of Trelleborg's other activities.
